Jungle Fever

Alright.. so as the time came to end our amazing time in ecuador we still had one last fun thing to do. GO TO THE JUNGLE!! WOW is all i can say! It was soo much fun! I still cant believe that i was in the amazon jungle! It was so cool. To get to the place we were staying we had to take a 3 1/2 hour canoe ride up the Napo river. We did night hikes where we say bunch of huge spiders.. ew.. and we saw cute little frogs. Then we also did some bird watching in the mornings and we saw some toucans, a prehistoric bird, and some monkeys! Then we hiked through the jungle and it was absolutely beautiful! Definitely the hottest and most humid place i have ever been in my whole entire life! Like we were all just wet from head to toe in sweat haha. Our guide was awesome! He made it so fun! He tried to teach us how to climb a tree.. even though non of us could do it. And showed us a bunch of things, like they get their stamps, for like clothing or something from a fruit they find in the jungle. He also showed us the fruit that they make chocolate from. it was insane you would never guess when you saw it that you can get chocolate out of it. We also saw some locals pan for gold. They showed us how the whole process was done. Man.. it takes hard work all day. But it was cool we got to see the gold at the end. We floated down the Napo river, which was kind of scary cause there are pirahnas, and anacondas and stuff in the water but luckily they werent where we were.. hopefully haha We also went and saw a healer who takes all the bad feelings away from you and replaces them with good feelings using leaves that he shakes around you and he sings it was so awesome. We ate grub... which are like bugs.. gross haha And then our guide taught us how to do the blow darts :) that was fun all of the girls made it into the papaya but the boys just could do it haha Anyways that is just some of the amazing things that we got to do there! Check out some pictures :)
